After a 2 year period at Clube De Golf Miramar, Oporto, North Portugal, Martin joined the MacGregor Golf Academy at Citywest Hotel, Saggart, Co. Dublin. There he amassed a wealth of teaching and coaching knowledge working with all levels of golfers and consulting with some of the world’s elite coaches. Assisting Howard Bennett the GUI National Coach during winter panel coaching sessions, Martin was appointed the Ladies Golfing Union of Ireland travelling coach for the 1999 Home International team matches at Royal Dornoch, Scotland.
Martin has attended numerous PGA and PGA of Europe Coaching Conferences including the Advanced Coaches Course held in the Costa del Sol and more recently the Red Bull sponsored Butch Harmon coaching seminars. His teaching heroes include: Ben Hogan, David Leadbetter, The Harmon brothers, John Jacobs, Howard Bennett, and Jack Nicklaus.
Martin is currently the Head Professional at Red Lane Golf & Football Centre, Newbridge where he offers guidance in all aspects of the game to all levels specialising in video analysis on the V1 digital coaching system, short game and on-course tuition.
